RSM Fall Ministry Kick-off!
Here are some of the upcoming opportunities in the
Ridgeland Student Ministry:
Wednesday Night Live! will start next Wednesday, September 16th, from 6:30-8PM. We'll have time to hang out, eat some food, reconnect with friends, and start off our new 6 week series "Welcome to the Planet!"
Week 1: The Challenge
Week 2: Recognizing Your Roots
Week 3: Playing Your Part
Week 4: Seeing Your True Self
Week 5: Knowing Your Purpose
Week 6: Living Your Mission
RSM Annual Kick-off Bonfire is Friday, September 18th, from 7:30-10PM. This is an excellent event for students to bring their friends and get a "flavor" of the student ministry. Our bonfire is a "potluck" event and we ask students to bring a snack to pass. RSM will provide the drinks.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact John!

"i-Life" Series Rule #2

Questions to Consider:
Where does the pressure to "fit in" and be
accepted come from? Is it direct, external pressure or
is does it come internally, sort of unspoken?
How do we recognize the pressure and how
do we not let it "defeat" us?
How does Jesus' message of acceptance
differ from what our culture teaches us?
How should our actions line up with
Jesus' truth of acceptance for us?
How do we practice acceptance?

"i-Life" Rule #1: Forgiveness

Some follow-up questions:
(1) What does receiving forgiveness from someone feel like?
Does it change your habit(s) and/or attitude?
(2) What does it mean to forgive?
Does it mean let someone slide and get away with stuff?
Does it make us a "door mat?"
(3) What does it mean to be forgiven by God?
How should His forgiveness change our attitude
toward others who may need our forgiveness?
(4) Is there a good or better way to deal with
people who may have wronged us rather than
just stop talking to them?

"i-Life" Week One Recap

Some Questions to Think About...
(1) Why should we talk about relationships and
why are there "rules" to them?
(2) Why are relationships sometimes so difficult?
(3) Can you think of a relationship with someone
that didn't go so well? What went wrong?
How did you react to it?
(4) What does God desire for us in our relationships
with others? What's the deal with the phrase
"relationship with God"? What does that mean?
See you next week for Rule #1: Forgiveness

and discover how God intended us to do life with one another.
